Why Pakse ?
Pakse is the capital city of Champasak Province in the south of Laos sitting at the intersections of 2 rivers Makong and the Se Don. With Pakse Airport, this area opens a gateway to the fantasy of southern Laos to explore the sacred Vat Phou, vast Bolaven Plateau and the 4,000 islands with great wildlife and nature. However, the town itself is charming with nice religious temples, bustling local market, local villages of some handicraft jobs, nice restaurants and sunset bars to kick back and have a Laos beer. Pakse once was the administrative outpost during colonial rule that there are houses in the area still bear the architecture at the time for a pleasant straddle around.
