Itinerary

Embark on your journey of active travel Cambodia to the southern coastal towns, you will begin with the cycling from Phnom Penh to Takeo. On the way, there are chances to stop and admire the rice fields, lotus lakes, tranquil rural villages, and the Tonle Bati. Tonle Bati is a very popular lake to the Cambodian who often come for picnic, fishing and spending time with friends, family. Have lunch at the bamboo huts facing the lake. Arriving in Takeo, you’ll check-in hotel and relax till rest of the day.

There are 2 options of cycling today with 80km (50 miles) – 6 hours or 40km (25 miles) – 3.5 hours

From Takeo, you will cycle to Kep, a sleepy province of Cambodia, is famous as a seaside region which was the retreat destination for French elite in 1908; and then the Cambodia high-rollers during 1960s. This town is now favored by the tourists for its peaceful landscape, stunning sunset, seafood abundant and Kep national park. The van will take you to the starting point to carry on your venture. En route, stop to admire the pleasant and scenic landscape, interact with local farmers, farms, and the coast and plantations. When you are about to reach Kep, you will pay a visit to Phnom Khhnork Cave Temple where house a pre-Angkorian brick temple from 7th century.

There are 2 options of cycling today with 90km (56 miles) – 6 hours or 57km (35 miles) – 4 hours

Spend today for the Koh Tonsay Island, or “Rabbit Island”, among most secluded islands in Kep. A short local boat ride will take you to the Island. Pay a visit around this exotic island, enjoy the local authentic dishes of Rabbit Island, unwind, relax and swim. Have lunch with BBQ seafood. In the afternoon, you will travel back to hotel and have leisure moments on your own. 

After leisure trip to Rabbit Island, today you will continue cycling in southern Cambodia. This morning, you will be welcomed by Pepper Plantation host to have a brief of the pepper planning techniques. Pepper is the first product to benefit from World Trade Association status of Protected Geographical Indication. You can also walk through the garden, learn from making processes, taste the pepper and even buy some as Cambodia souvenir back home.

Afterward, you will hop on your bike and cycle from Kep to Kampot along peaceful trails lined by coconut and palm tree. On the way, you will can stop to have a visit to agricultural plantation, and the salt field in Kampot riverside setting town.

This evening, you will board the sunset cruise sailing along the quiet riverside around Kampot. Have relaxing time to indulge and enjoying the sunset over hills.

Remark: Cycling distance 35km (22 miles) – 4 hours

After breakfast at hotel, you will have free time at hotel before heading back to Phnom Penh by local train in 3.5 hours.
