Why Hue ?
Hue is a portentous and evocative city locating in the central Vietnam which is well-known as the former capital of Vietnam from 1802 - 1945 under the rule of Nguyen Dynasty, the last feudal dynasty of country. The city has surpassed the royal prosperous and also endured to survive through many war devastations. During Vietnam war, Hue with its DMZ witnessed the country separation and fierce bombarding. The province’s geography is diverse with high mountain ranges, the plain land, vast water lagoon and ocean coastline that make Hue is one of the most photogenic spots of Vietnam. Siting in the center and neighboring are the Imperial Citadels, the sophisticated tombs designed by the kings themselves, bustling Dong Ba Market, Thien Mu Pagoda, Vong Canh Hills, a bunch of handicraft villages etc. of all embraced by graceful Perfume River. Located around 15km from Hue City is the Tam Giang Lagoon, Chuon Lagoon and many others offering breathtaking sunrise and sunset scenes as well as great chances to interact with fishermen. Active travelers can go with full day cycling to explore Hue’s highlights or reach the rural countryside and explore the tranquil villages spotting some of ancient houses and up to hundreds of years old crafts villages. Adventurous and wildlife buffs can do trekking and enjoy bird watching at Bach Ma National Park 1.5-hour drive to the south of Hue toward Da Nang City.
