How to Get to Vietnam
There are three international airports in Vietnam including Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang Airport in Da Nang. Though Da Nang Airport is available with less international arrivals, it’s one of the most prominent spots to enter Vietnam. The travelers can take direct flight to Da Nang from Japan, Korea, Chia, Doha, Cambodia, Singapore and Malaysia. Entering Vietnam via Tan Son Nhat Airport in southern Vietnam can be done with direct flights London, Paris, Frankfurt, Zurich, Helsinki, Moscow, Istanbul, Doha, Dubai, India, China, Japan, Korea, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippine, Myanmar, Cambodia and Taiwan. There are border checkpoints to enter Vietnam from Laos, Cambodia and China by land transfer or by boat.
From Cambodia
There are five main border crosses from Cambodia to Vietnam among which all are via land drive and one river cross Kaam Samnor/ Vinh Xuong.
From Laos
Border cross to Vietnam from Laos are available with below checkpoints. As two countries’ border areas are mainly mountains and highland, the paths are in good conditions but pretty winding. More popular border crosses are via Tay Trang in Northern Province Dien Bien, Cau Treo in Central Province Ha Tinh and Lau Bao in Central Provincee in Quang Tri Province of Vietnam.

There are three border crosses from China to Vietnam which are mainly for land import and export. Tourist are allowed to travel through too.

Vietnam Visa
There are 24 nationalities are exempted Vietnam visa from 14 days to 90 days depending on the nationality. Additionally, travelers can visit Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam needless of visa up to 30 days if flying to this island without stopping in any airports of Vietnam. The travelers also can transit through Vietnam by air for less than 24 hours and with no intention of moving out transit area.
Remark: Those are exempted Vietnam visa should re-enter Vietnam over 30 days after the exit date of the first entry.
Nationalities required Vietnam visa need to arrange the Vietnam visa letter in advance and can obtain the visa for the stay from 1 to 3 months via 4 airports in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Nha Trang. This means that those have to pre-arrange Vietnam visa can’t enter the country via border crosses. Vietnam E-visa is available and can be proceeded via this port htz ps://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/trang-chu-ttdt. Nationalities are not listed in Vietnam visa exemption and Vietnam visa required can proceed the e-visa. The e-visa cost for single entry is USD 25 per person and can be valid till 30 days maximum. The process takes 3 to 5 working days to receive Vietnam e-visa.
When to visit Vietnam
Vietnam is a country stretching nearly 2000km long from north to south though pretty narrow at the least wide area is only 50km. This characteristic makes the country’s weather is divided into three part with different features.
The northern Vietnam’s climate is distinguished by 4 seasons with pretty cold winter and humid summer. Best months for the north of Vietnam are Mar, April, October and November with sunny weather, low humidity and moderate temperature from 15 – 30 Celcius Degree. Winter from Dec to Feb is abit colder from 10 – 23 Celcius Degree. The rest months from May to September are hotter with temperature up to 34 Celsius Degree and high humidity.
In central Vietnam, the weather from Jan to April is ideal with sunny weather, great temperature from 17 – 31 Celsius Degree. Next months from May to early Sep are pretty fine, just a bit hotter and slightly more humid. Late Sep to Dec is monsoon season with heavy rains.
Southern Vietnam is featured by only 2 seasons of dry season from Nov to April with very nice weather for your stay; and rainy season from May to Sep but the rain doesn’t last long. The temperature is moderate all year from 24 – 36 Celsius Degree.
