Preah Vihear

Preah Vihear, renown as the ‘mother of mountain temples’, is a vast region at the northern border of the Cambodia with Thailand and Laos. Preah Vihear is named after the temple of Prasat Preah Vihear which has been a World Heritage Site since 2008. The temple perching on Dangrek Mountain is a significant place of pilgrimage for millennia and has long been a source of conflict between Cambodia and Thailand. While Preah Vihear region has much to offer with temple structures, remote villages and endless nature, the infrastructure is not under good condition. November to March is the best time to explore Preah Vihear with sunny weather and moderate temperature from 22 – 28 Celsius degree.
