Sihanoukville

Also known as 'Kampong Som', Sihanoukville is a coastal city in Cambodia and is the capital of Sihanoukville Province. Due to its deep water sea port, Sihanoukville has become Cambodia’s leading center of trade and commerce. After years of war, the architecture of the city has been left in poor condition and being a relatively young city, it does not have colonial style quarters like in Kampot or Siem Reap either. Sihanoukville features idyllic sandy beaches and tropical islands which make the area the most popular beach destinations in Cambodia. The town also is the gate opening to the southern islands of most beautiful beaches in Cambodia. There is a wide range of accommodations and restaurants at diverse budget.
