This Siem Reap holiday package unlocks the Angkor Temples, constructed between the 11th and 14th centuries. In three days, you will visit attractions in Siem Reap, including Angkor Archaeological Park and impressive temples such as Angkor Wat, Bayon, and Ta Prohm. Additionally, you will learn more about the Khmer culture and Cambodian history via the Phare–Cambodian Circus Show. This short excursion to Siem Reap can be combined with neighboring countries such as Vietnam for memorable package holidays to Cambodia and Vietnam.
Welcome to Siem Reap, the gateway to the renowned and mysterious Angkor Temples. Siem Reap is also an alluring province, offering visits to village life on Tonle Sap Lake, a vast freshwater lake with unique tidal changes every year. Apart from this, Siem Reap’s neighborhood offers a tranquil, amiable countryside.
Upon your arrival, you will meet your local tour guide and take a private transfer from Siem Reap Airport to the hotel for check-in.
This evening, enjoy the marvelous show Phare - The Cambodian Circus, featuring thrilling performances that combine lively traditional music, acrobatics, theater, and circus. The artists are young but talented from the Phare Ponleu Selpak Artistic NGO, which trains and educates poor Cambodian students. Within only one hour, the performances reveal many cultural and historical stories of Cambodia.
Today, you will venture to the hidden Angkor Temples. Head to the south gate of Angkor Thom, which means “Big City,” with defensive walls up to 12 km long. You will walk along 2 terraces featuring 54 figures in the Hindu myth of the Churning of the Ocean, with 54 demon gods pulling a snake’s tail. Walking through the gate, behold the fascinating Bayon Temple, best known for its gigantic sculptures of smiling Buddha faces representing the protection of the Citadel from four directions. The Venturing in Angkor Complex Siem Reap will lead you to Baphuon Temple dating back to the 11th century, Phimeanakas Temples, the Terraces of Elephants and Terraces of Leper Kings of 360m long wall as the eastern boundary of the Royal Palace.
In the afternoon, explore the astonishing Angkor Wat Temple, the largest temple, with its central tower at 65m and the only temple whose entrance faces toward the West. Getting around the temple walls, you will discover elaborate sculptures. Angkor Wat remains a significant religious venue in Siem Reap and Cambodia. Lastly, visit the renowned and intriguing Ta Prohm Temple, which is tightly embraced by the jungle. Have a delightful walk and follow the footsteps of Lara in the movie Tomb Raider.
