Why Hoi An ?
Hoi An, literally meaning as a peaceful meeting place, has been declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site for the preservation of centuries of Southeast Asian culture and history. This ancient town is one of Vietnam best places to visit. Atmospheric and delightful Hoi An boasts a perfect balance between the old historical society, well-preserved culture and the contemporary world. Late 16th century, Hoi An was the busy trade ports for the merchant ship from Europe and Asia countries. Stopping by for so many times that the traders constructed their accommodations and religious sanctuary themselves and lived collectively that form the ancient own town Hoi An like these days. The town culture soaked up with Chinese, Japanese and Western influences. The visitors can wander along the legacies of old town, admire the attached old houses, museums, temples forming intriguing streets and the enticing riverfront houses. Hoi An night market not so far from the Japanese Pagoda Bridge is colorful at night with lantern displaying at stores and releasing on the Thu Bon River. Hoi An countryside is embedded with stunning exotic landscapes, comprising some of traditional handicraft villages developing along the river such as fishing, the carpenter, pottery, sedge mat, herbs villages. Ocean lover can visit the pristine beaches along An Bang of white soft sandy beach or take journey to Cham Island for swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling as so on.
