A unique Cambodia honeymoon package for you to visit the highlighted destinations of the country and enjoy dreamy bliss, such as a fabulous dinner at Chandara Villa in Siem Reap, a chilling stay on the most beautiful beach island, Koh Rong of Cambodia. There are plenty of sights to see in Cambodia, such as the colonial city, the Royal Palace, and Khmer fine art at the National Museum in Phnom Penh. Plus, there is a half-day cycling on an isolated silk island with tranquil rural life. In Siem Reap, you will unlock the Angkor Temples and interact with local life by participating in diverse activities with the villagers.
Welcome to Phnom Penh, the vibrant capital of Cambodia. After a historically turbulent period, this city, “The Pearl of Asia,” is reinventing itself as a dynamic city with stellar culinary and cultural attractions and a blend of Khmer and colonial architecture.
Upon your arrival at Phnom Penh - the first destination of your Cambodia honeymoon tour package, you will see your local tour guide and then travel to the hotel in Phnom Penh for check-in. The rest of the day will be at your leisure to recover after the flight.
Phnom Penh is one of the most romantic places in Cambodia, as it's the city where the finest colonial heritage and sophisticated Cambodian arts coexist. This is revealed through the art street, the ornaments on relics, the architecture of colonial buildings, and the artifacts in the National Museum.
This morning is free for you to chill out at the property. In the afternoon, you will see your tour guide and have a glimpse of Phnom Penh. Pay a visit to the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, where you will gain insight into the past and present of Cambodia. Then you will visit the Cambodia National Museum, which houses a vast collection of over 14,000 Khmer art objects, including sculptures, ceramics, and bronzes. Afterward, you can choose to either hike up to Wat Phnom on the hill for a panoramic view of the city and the rivers, or visit the Toul Sleng historical site and learn more about the country's difficult period during the Khmer Rouge regime.
This morning, you will cross the Mekong River to escape from the city center for Koh Dach Island. This cycling excursion in Phnom Penh offers an in-depth understanding of local life on Silk Island. Your tour guide will escort you along untouristic paths and take you to local villages, a Buddhist pagoda, and farmland. You will have lunch when you arrive on Koh Dach Island; thereafter, continue your cycling adventure, exploring this peaceful island and visiting a local family practicing silk weaving. You will observe and learn how they make silk in local ways and get to know Cambodia's traditional scarf, the Krama. Farewell to the island, you then return to hotel for relaxation.
At a good time, you will meet with your tour guide and travel to Phnom Penh Airport for your flight to Siem Reap, the gateway to inspiring Angkor Temples; a culture of fishing lifestyle on the giant fresh Tonle Sap lake, and adventures to Phnom Kulens and the lively nightlife of Siem Reap Pub Street.
Upon arrival, you will meet your local tour guide and take a private transfer from the airport to your hotel in Siem Reap for check-in.
This evening, have dinner at the fancy Chandara Villa, a stunning honeymoon spot in Cambodia, set amid green gardens overlooking a rice paddy field. After a short walk along a romantic path, you will find your private venue for dinner, cocktails, and extraordinary fine candlelight dining.
In the morning, you will cross the jungle path to enter Angkor Archeological Park, where the spirited Angkor Temples are situated. Your exploration will begin at the southern gate of Angkor Thom, which features impressive guard walls. On one wall, 54 demon deities pull the snake's tail, while the other wall features 54 characters from the Hindu legend of the Churning of the Ocean. Walk through the gate, and you will enter Angkor Thom, or the “Big City,” and see the Bayon Temple, with towers of giant 4-faced Buddha statues. This represents the citadel's protection from 4 directions. Keep strolling; you will discover the 11th-century Ba Phuon Temple, which is in ruins and is currently being restored. Next, visit Phimeanakas Temple, the Terraces of Elephants, and the Terraces of the Leper King.
This afternoon, visit Angkor Wat, the iconic and sacred temple in Siem Reap, Cambodia. This is the largest temple among the over 1,000 temples in the park. There are 5 towers in the center of the temple premises, of which the most central and highest one reaches 65m high. Apart from its spacious scale, this 12th-century temple also features gorgeous sculptures and a gallery of diverse images on culture, history, and religion. Finish the day at Ta Prohm Temple, where the huge trees’ roots embrace the rooms, walls, and chapels of the temple.
This day will be free and easy, at your leisure, to chill out at the property or get around town on your own.
A half-day in Bong Thom Village offers you the chance to interact with local villagers and learn about their culture by joining them in making food and handicrafts. Moving on, you will crush rice with a local mortar and make local rice noodles, prepare a noodle bowl, observe the processes, and try the bamboo sticky rice. Then, you will learn more about the popular plant, the sugar palm, in Cambodia. Pay a visit to sugar palm stalls and see how locals make sugar with a huge pan, and create decorative handicrafts from the sugar palm leaves. Afterwards, you will head back to the centre and travel to Siem Reap Airport for your flight to Sihanoukville.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by the driver and travel (without a tour guide) to the port for a boat transfer to your hotel on Koh Rong Island, the next romantic destination in Cambodia. Koh Rong Island has a pristine white-sand beach in the Gulf of Thailand and crystal-clear blue waters. Check into the resort and have leisure time on your own.
