Ninh Binh is a province 105 km (65 miles) in the south of Hanoi. This region was the former capital of Vietnam in the late 10th century. Ninh Binh consists of limestone mountains, caves in the cliffs, extensive rice fields, amicable countryside, great nature and rich historical values. The rivers, nature reserves and villages scatter between the limestone mountains making the place intriguing for the boat expeditions to Tam Coc, Trang An, Van Long Nature Reserve, Thung Nham and so on.
