Trang An Ninh Binh ecotourism complex is on UNESCO’s World Heritage list, covering 2000 ha and comprising 5 main visiting spots: the center, the service & travel area, the water caves, and a specially protected area. Bai Dinh Pagoda is the largest pagoda in Vietnam, situated in an ideal location. Its designs and architecture hold many records in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
Depart at 8:00 am today for your Ninh Binh Day trip from Hanoi. You will head 90km south of Hanoi (2hours drive) to Ninh Binh Province, a former capital of Vietnam. Begin the sightseeing with the enormous Bai Dinh Pagoda, which features the longest corridor of Arahat statues; a bronze bell weighing 36 tons; Buddha Sakyamuni, 10m tall and weighing 100 tons; and so on. Hike up gradually, and you will see and learn more about Buddhist practices, deities, characters, etc.
Leaving the green grounds and tranquil ambiance of Bai Dinh Pagoda, you will have lunch at a restaurant serving local cuisine.
Later, you will take a boat ride along the winding Trang An River for a pleasant, relaxing time amid scenic mountains and turquoise waters. Trang An in Ninh Binh, Vietnam, also comprises mysterious water caves with interesting names, according to local stories. The boat ride lasts around 2.5 hours. When you embark on the boat, you will drive back to Hanoi.
